This summer I will be beginning a dive into research in the intersection of learning disability and children's media. Like I describe in my paper, this project for me is part-sociological research, part-media analyst. This project idea came to me as ideas of representation and equity in entertainment were discussed in Power in Entertainment and Contemporary TV. Below is my research proposal which was selected to be funded by the Office of Undergraduate Research this coming summer.
